Characteristics

Despite low material thickness of only appr. 0.6 mm, the BOSIG cold shrink tape meets top demands for functionality and appearance. The special carrier comprises a pliable, stretching Polyethylene foil, coated with cold weld Butyl rubber adhesive. 

Cold shrink tape is used for durable sealing of flexible and rigid pipework, aluminium air supply and exhaust ducts, galvanised sheeting, Polyethylene and hard PVC. It will meet VDI 6022, Sheet 1 requirements and is suited for use in ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Product Information

Ductile cold shrink tape made of cold-self-adhesive butyl rubber adhesive, coated with a highly tear proof polyethylene film, easily expandable. 

Butyl Cold Shrink Tape has an immediately high direct initial tack, whereas the final bonding strength is achieved after around 24 hours.
